½cupunsweetened plain almond milk(or sub different milk)
1cupfresh strawberries(or frozen strawberries)
½cupfresh pineapple(or frozen pineapple)
½cupfresh peaches(or frozen peaches)
1tablespoonAlmond Butter(optional for protein)
½cupice
1tablespoonpure maple syrup(optional for extra sweetness)
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to the blender.
Start the blender on low and bring it up to high speed. If using a high-powered blender, you will blender for 1 minute. If using a normal blender, you may need to stir a few times, and continue blending for 2 minutes.
Serve the smoothie in a large glass and enjoy!
Notes
Tips:
Using a high-powered blender like a Vitamix will yield a much smoother smoothie.
Add fresh fruit to the bottom of the blender and the frozen fruit and ice on top. It will help the smoothie to blend easier.
Storage:
Storage: Store the smoothie in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. However, for best results drink it immediately.
Freezing: I highly recommend freezing any leftover smoothie into smoothie popsicles. You can find a popsicle mold on Amazon and then have a refreshing healthy treat anytime you'd like. Smoothie popsicles will last up to 3 months in the freezer. It is a great healthy alternative to ice cream.
