While it is preheating, form the the ground beef into 4 equal sized patties.
Sprinkle the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper on the top and bottom of the burger patties.
Put them in the preheated air fryer basket (you may have to do two batches depending on the size of your basket).
Air fry for 4 minutes. Flip the burgers over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Check to see if the hamburgers are done to your liking. (Time may vary based on your model of air fryer and how thick the burgers are.)
Place the cheese on top (optional) and air fry for an additional 30 seconds.
Use a spatula to take the patties out of the basket and place them on the buns. Add your desired toppings.
Notes
Tips:
Add a little butter to the top and bottom bun and toast it on a hot pan. It will elevate your burger to a whole new level!
Use fresh ground beef to ensure the burgers don't fall apart and have the best flavor.
Storage: Cooked hamburgers can be stored in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 3 or 4 days in the refrigerator.
Reheating: To reheat a refrigerated or frozen burger, you can use the air fryer, microwave, oven, grill, or a pan. Do so at a low heat so as not to overcook the meat.
Freezing: To freeze, store them in a freezer bag after they have cooled. They can stay in the freezer for up to four months.
