Begin browning the ground beef in a medium saucepan on medium high heat.
While the beef is browning, mince the onion and bell pepper into little pieces (I use my mini food processor).
Once the ground beef is browned drain off the fat. Add the onions, peppers, garlic powder, salt, pepper and chili powder. Stir and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
Add the brown sugar, ketchup and tomato sauce to the pot. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Butter the cut side of the rolls/buns and toast them on heated sauté pan (I highly recommend you don't skip toasting the buns!). Spoon some of the Sloppy Joes onto the toasted buns and serve!
