Slice the dried figs into quarters and add them to a pint-sized mason jar.
Pour the balsamic vinegar on top of the figs and seal the jar with a lid. Allow the figs to soak in the balsamic vinegar in the fridge for 5-7 days.
Strain out the figs. Return the jar to the fridge and use the fig balsamic vinegar within 4 weeks.
Notes
Tips:
After allowing the figs to soak in the balsamic vinegar, give it a taste test. If you would like a little more sweetness you can add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or sugar to the vinegar.
Storage: Store your flavored vinegar in a glass container with a tight-fitting lid is ideal for long-term storage. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
