SESAME SEED  BAGEL RECIPE

Make the perfect sesame bagels with our easy-to-follow sesame seed bagel recipe. Homemade sesame bagels are chewy and irresistibly delicious.

INGREDIENTS

Water Yeast Salt Sugar Bread Flour Sesame Seeds

STEP 1:

Add all the ingredients to the mixer, except the last 1/2 cup of flour. Mix until the dough is formed. If it feels sticky, add the last 1/2 of flour.

STEP 2:

Let the dough rise in a large bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap. Once it has doubled, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.

STEP 3:

Shape the bagels. There are two methods shown in the blog post and a video! This one is the snake method.

STEP 4:

Boil and bake the bagels in sugar water.

STEP 4:

Sprinkle on the sesame seeds as soon as they come out of the boiling water. Bake in a 400-degree  Fahrenheit oven.
